One prompt drives the whole conversation. The agent reasons freely from your instructions on every turn, keeping the full conversation in context and adapting as the dialogue moves — rather than following a fixed script.

What you write

  1. An initial message — the first thing the agent says (the greeting).
  2. A main prompt — everything the agent should know and do.
There’s no required structure to the main prompt. You can keep it free-flowing or organize it into sections — whatever suits your use case.
Single Prompt Agent structure

Best for

Open-ended, flexible conversations like customer support, FAQs, product inquiries, and general assistants where the agent needs to adapt to unexpected questions and conversational turns.
